Anole Care:
1. 10 gallon aquarium with potting soil
a. The bottom of the tank should be covered with something that retains moisture. (soil, bark mulch, recycled, peat moss, dried tree bark)
b. A SECURE mesh top
2. Artificial/Real plants
a. One of the preferred plants is philodendron.
b. Also possible choices, schefflera, bromeliads and a snake vines.
3. Fluorescent UVB light & 40-Watt light
4. Temperature between 70-83 degrees F.
a. There needs to be a cool and warm end of the tank to let the chameleon regulate it’s temperature
5. Misting bottle to spray to keep the humidity at 50%
a. The lizard will drink the condensed water
b. OR an automatic mister
6. They eat live crickets, no mealworms!
a. They will eat approx. 5 crickets a day or every two days
b. Feed at the same time and the same place every day to establish regimen.
7. Shallow water dish for bathing.
8. Basking area should be available that ranges from 80-90 degrees on one end of the enclosure
