Why this Activity?
The students must fully understand the natural environment that the Anole comes from. The students will:
1. Research what makes a good habitat
2. Write down in their science logs what makes a good list of materials that are needed
3. Reference literacy: These include: Green Anoles: From the Experts at Advanced Vivarium Systems By: Philippe De Vosi
Or: The Green Anole By Mia Donahue (this has the integrationo of literacy)
4. Students will create a mathematical spreadsheet of how much each material will cost to integrate math (GREAT addition for explaining TAX)
5. Students will go out and buy materials based on the dollar amount they finalized as a class
6. Students will observe if the Anoles are comfortable in their environment and make notes in their science journal.
7. After a few days the students will recall what the environment was, and their observations. Then the class can decided if another material is needed, or needed to be omitted from the area.
